For 25 years now, we at McDonald’s have been bringing smiles to our customers in Bulgaria. Our philosophy comprises of delivering quality products, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere always. We do not like the word compromise; we prefer to see the smiles on the faces of our guests.
It all started at the restaurant of two brothers Mack and Dick MacDonald, in San Bernadino, California, in 1948.
Their philosophy – limited menu, low prices and systematic kitchen process – allowed them to serve more customers in less time.
However, the company as we know it today was not founded by the two brothers but by Ray Croc.
In 1954, when Ray Croc met the MacDonald brothers in San Bernadino, he was amazed at how well and how quickly they served a large number of hungry drivers. The cars approached the restaurant, the customers bought their food and continued their journey without delay. The conclusion was clear to Ray Croc: “People need quality, but more than anything, fast service. They are looking for an alternative to the traditional way of eating. Ray Croke signed a contract with the MacDonald brothers, which allowed him to use their sales system and company name.
Ray Croke opened his first restaurant in 1955 in Des Plaines, Illinois, introducing the working principles of the two MacDonald brothers.
Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Good Price are still the main principles of McDonald’s.
